AI Prompt Engineer Job Description

As an AI Prompt Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing and optimizing prompts for artificial intelligence (AI) models. Your primary responsibility will be to create effective and engaging prompts that elicit desired responses from AI systems, ensuring high-quality outputs and user satisfaction. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, and product managers, to understand user requirements, design appropriate prompts, and iterate on them to improve model performance.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and subject matter experts to understand user needs and desired outcomes.
• Design and develop prompts that effectively guide AI models to generate relevant, accurate, and engaging responses.
• Conduct thorough analysis and experimentation to optimize prompts and enhance AI model performance.
• Deep understanding of the AI model’s capabilities, limitations, and behavior.
• Develop expertise in natural language processing (NLP) and conversational AI to craft prompts that align with user expectations and generate contextually appropriate responses.
• Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to analyse and preprocess datasets for prompt development. Identify relevant data sources, curate datasets, and perform data cleaning, transformation, and augmentation as necessary.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, artificial intelligence, data science, or a related field is preferred.
• 10+ Years of overall experience and 5 years relevant experience in the field of AI.
• Proven experience in developing prompts or similar content for AI models or conversational systems. Familiarity with NLP concepts, conversational AI, and user experience principles.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, and experience with NLP libraries and tools (e.g., NLTK, spaCy, TensorFlow, PyTorch). Understanding of data preprocessing techniques, statistical analysis, and A/B testing methodologies.
• Strong command of written and spoken language, with excellent grammar and communication skills. Ability to craft effective and engaging prompts that resonate with users and generate desired responses.
• A creative mindset to develop innovative and engaging prompts that enhance user interactions and drive AI model performance.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: ₹2,000,000.00 - ₹6,000,000.00 per year
