Product R&D Intern - AI Prompt Engineering

AutogenAI are seeking a motivated intern to complete a 3-month long internship supporting our product team in Prompt Engineering.

Prompt engineering involves exceptional language and communication capabilities, as you use these skills to interact with text-based generative AI. Language is used to shape prompts, which form the basis of our product. The right candidate needs to be organised, motivated, and interested in generative AI and how we use language. Having technical or coding capabilities is not a requirement.

The successful candidate will play a key role in testing (comparing and improving) prompts, refining prompt engineering process, carrying out textual analyses, and providing ongoing support to our team of professional Prompt Engineers.

This role is perfect for a flexible individual who loves getting things done and is open to trying a variety of tasks.

Day-to-day responsibilities:

• Aiding prompt and model testing
• Optimising testing and product communication processes
• Building prompts
• Product usage analysis
• Ongoing support to Prompt Engineers

• Exceptional writer
• Excellent time management and communication skills (verbal and written)
• Interested in generative AI and NLP
• Basic awareness of different LLMs
• Has an understanding of Prompt Engineering
• Good at optimising process and offering data insights
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Can work full time in the UK without sponsorship
• Can work at our Kentish Town office 2 days per week
• Optional - Background in Linguistics or language-based subject
• Optional - Basic programming skills (Python and JavaScript) which could be used to support the wider product team
• Salary range of £25-30k p/a, pro-rata.
• Experience in the field of prompt engineering and AI at one of the UK’s fastest growing Generative AI companies.
• Hyper-flexible ‘hybrid-working’ role with 2 core office days. Open to discussion around working hours and other flexibilities.
