You will work to help improve existing ML based products as well as build new features and services using LLMs.
The team you’ll be a part of
You will work in the Core Machine Learning Team, where we build LanguageWire’s machine translation (MT), adjacent services to monitor and predict its performance, as well as APIs and applications exposing it both internally and externally.
- You will collaborate closely with Machine Learning Engineers, Data Engineers and Full Stack Engineers, reporting to the team lead.

- Prototyping new features/products using LLMs (e.g. using PaLM 2 or Llama 2)
- Productionizing the prototypes that prevail
- Prompt engineering the best prompts/contexts for each task
- Staying up to date with the LLM research and adopting the relevant findings
- In one year, you’ll know you were successful if…
- We have managed to augment existing or launched new LLM based products
- We can offer even more customized MT for our customers for common language pairs using LLMs
- We have either fully or partially automated some of our existing manual product workflows
Desired experience and competencies
- What you’ll need to bring
- Master’s Degree in Computer Science
- Private or professional experience with LLMs and prompt engineering (either)
- Experience building APIs with Python (we use FastAPI/Celery)
- Experience with Kubernetes (we use GKE)
- Experience constructing and evaluating experiments
- A keen interest the rapidly evolving LLM space
This will make you stand out
- Experience with building LLM based products/prototypes
- Experience with vector stores
- Experience with training/finetuning Transformers
- Experience with building scalable APIs
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Terraform/Helm
